The amazing athlete Noah Lyles is a professional track and field sprinter, who competes in the 100 meters and the 200 meters. He is a 3x World Champion, an Olympic Bronze medalist, and the American record holder in the 200 meter dash. He also runs The Lyles Brothers Sports Foundation with his younger sibling, Josephus, which helps empower youth through health and fitness.
Born and raised in Florida, Lyles started off his athletics life as a gymnast, before changing to track and field when he was 12-years-old. He had an incredibly fruitful youth career, winning a Silver medal at the 2013 World Youth Championships in the medley relay, and then winning Gold in the 200m at the 2014 Youth Olympic Games. He was named 2015 High School Boys Athlete of the Year by Track & Field News, and followed his Youth Olympic success with a Silver and Gold at the Pan American U20 Championships, and with two more Golds at the 2016 World U20 Championships.
Lyles then opted to go professional rather than attend the University of Florida, and signed on with adidas. He claimed Silver at the 2017 World Relays, and two Golds at the 2018 Continental Cup. He added another Silver to his collection at the 2019 World Relays, and in the same year won his first World Championships Golds in 200m and the 4x 100m relay. He won the Bronze at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics in 200m, and had more success at the 2022 World Championships winning Gold in the 200m and Silver in the 4x 100 m relay. And during the 2022 World Athletics Championship, he surpassed Michael Johnson’s long standing record of 19.32 by running the 200 m in 19.31.
Lyles regularly connects with his legions of followers and fans through Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter, posting pictures and videos of his life around track and field.
