The wonderful Kelly Oxford is a multi-talented author, screenwriter, and filmmaker. She regularly publishes an online newsletter about happiness, sadness, lies and everything in between. She is best known for her comedy-drama, Pink Skies Ahead.
Born and raised in Canada, Oxford dropped out of University after one semester and began blogging as a means of self-publishing. She joined Twitter in 2009 and gained a large following. Her account eventually attracted the attention of a number of celebrities and was soon contacted by agents keen to represent her writing. She sold a TV script to CBS and wrote a pilot for NBC, and in 2013 she published a semi-autobiographical book, Everything Is Perfect When You’re a Liar, which became a New York Times bestseller. A year later she appeared on the reality TV show Candidly Nicole, and then she developed a semi-autobiographical comedy with the head writer for Jimmy Kimmel Live!, Molly McNearney. In 2017 released her second book, When You Find Out the World is Against You: And Other Funny Memories About Awful Moments. In 2020 her critically acclaimed directorial debut, Pink Skies Ahead, was released.
Oxford regularly connects with her hundreds of thousands of followers and fans through Instagram, and Twitter, posting pictures and videos about her creative life. She is also available for that personalised shout-out via the Cameo platform, and has an official website, kellyoxford.substack.com.
