Born Kerri Flett on October 3, 1987, in Selkirk, Manitoba, Kerri Einarson developed an early interest in curling, influenced by her uncle, Brier champion Greg McAulay. From her small hometown of Camp Morton in the Rural Municipality of Gimli, Einarson’s dedication to the sport began at local curling clubs. Her career progressed through mixed provincial titles in 2010 and 2013, before she established herself as a formidable skip on the World Curling Tour, leading her own women’s team since 2008.
Einarson’s competitive journey has been marked by significant milestones. She secured her first provincial championship in 2016, earning her team a spot at the Scotties Tournament of Hearts. Her first Grand Slam event victory came at the 2016 Boost National. A pivotal moment occurred in the 2018–19 season when she formed a new team of former skips, which quickly achieved success by winning multiple World Curling Tour events and the 2019 Players’ Championship. This team, known for its strategic approach and collective experience, went on to dominate the Canadian women’s curling scene.
Kerri Einarson made history by winning four consecutive Scotties Tournament of Hearts titles from 2020 to 2023, representing Manitoba and then Canada. Her success extended to mixed doubles curling, claiming the 2021 Canadian Mixed Doubles Curling Championship with Brad Gushue. Einarson has also earned multiple medals at the World Women’s Curling Championship and the Pan Continental Curling Championships, demonstrating her consistent presence and competitive drive on the international stage. Currently, she combines her curling career with her work as a commercial fisher.
