Kevin Kolb

Kevin Kolb, born August 24, 1984, in Victoria, Texas, embarked on his football journey at Stephenville High School, serving as a three-year starting quarterback. He then advanced to the University of Houston, where he earned recognition as the Conference USA Offensive Most Valuable Player in 2006. His college career concluded with 12,964 total passing yards, placing him fifth all-time in that category for the institution. These formative years laid the groundwork for his professional career.

Kolb was selected by the Philadelphia Eagles in the second round of the 2007 NFL Draft. He spent his initial years as a backup, eventually being promoted to second-string quarterback in his second year. During the 2009 NFL season, Kolb started two games in place of an injured Donovan McNabb, making history as the first quarterback in NFL history to throw for over 300 yards in each of his first two career starts. His performance earned him NFC Offensive Player of the Week honors. In 2011, Kolb was traded to the Arizona Cardinals, where he served as a starting quarterback. His tenure with the Cardinals was marked by injuries, including a severe concussion and turf toe, limiting his playing time to nine games in 2011 and six in 2012. He concluded his playing career with the Buffalo Bills in 2013, ultimately retiring in 2014 due to lingering effects of post-concussion syndrome.

Throughout his NFL career, Kolb played a total of 34 games, accumulating 5,206 passing yards and 28 touchdowns. His professional path included stints with the Philadelphia Eagles (2007–2010), Arizona Cardinals (2011–2012), and Buffalo Bills (2013). Following his retirement, Kolb has maintained a lower profile, with documented personal events such as an arrest for boating while intoxicated in 2014.
