Kevin Sorbo

Kevin Sorbo achieved his professional breakthrough in 1993, securing the leading role of Hercules in a series of five television films for Universal Television’s Action Pack. The immense success of these films led to the highly popular television series ‘Hercules: The Legendary Journeys’ (1995–1999), where he starred as the titular demigod. This iconic series gained international popularity, airing in 176 countries and becoming one of the highest-rated syndicated television shows of its time. Prior to this, Sorbo honed his craft through extensive modeling work for print and television advertisements across Europe and Australia in the mid-1980s, appearing in over 150 commercials, including a notable spot for Jim Beam bourbon whiskey.

Demonstrating his capabilities behind the camera, he directed and starred in the 2017 feature film ‘Let There Be Light.’ In 2011, he authored the autobiography ‘True Strength: My Journey from Hercules to Mere Mortal—and How Nearly Dying Saved My Life,’ detailing his recovery from an aneurysm and multiple strokes experienced in late 1997. His journey inspired him to become a dedicated advocate for stroke awareness, a commitment recognized with the Public Leadership in Neurology Award from the American Academy of Neurology and the American Brain Foundation in 2013. Beyond his work in entertainment, Kevin Sorbo is a committed philanthropist, serving as the spokesman and chair for A World Fit for Kids! This non-profit organization is dedicated to mentoring inner-city youth through comprehensive programs focused on sports, fitness, and positive role models.

As an actor, producer, and director, Sorbo continues to engage audiences across multiple platforms while utilizing his public platform to champion important health and youth development causes.
