United States Kris Statlander is an American professional wrestler and stuntwoman known for her championship reigns in All Elite Wrestling and her unique in-ring persona.

Kristen Stadtlander was born in West Islip, New York, on August 7, 1995. Her father works as a car mechanic, and her mother is a high school music teacher. She attended college in New Jersey but left after one year to train as a stunt double at Hollywood Stunts in Brooklyn, New York. This early training provided a foundation for her physical capabilities in professional wrestling. In November 2016, Statlander began her professional wrestling career, initially training under Pat Buck and Brian Myers at the Create A Pro Wrestling Academy in Hicksville, New York. She became the first female graduate of this academy. She debuted under the ring name “Liza Verio” in November 2016.
Statlander joined All Elite Wrestling (AEW) in November 2019. In December 2019, AEW officially announced her signing. She quickly established herself in the women’s division, competing for championships. A significant career turning point occurred in May 2023 at Double or Nothing when Statlander returned from injury to defeat Jade Cargill, ending Cargill’s undefeated streak and winning the AEW TBS Championship. This marked her first major championship in AEW. She successfully defended this title against competitors such as Nyla Rose, Anna Jay, Taya Valkyrie, and Ruby Soho, holding the championship for 174 days. In September 2025, Statlander further solidified her career by defeating “Timeless” Toni Storm, Jamie Hayter, and Thekla to win the AEW Women’s World Championship, becoming the first woman to hold both of AEW’s women’s singles championships.
Throughout her career, Statlander has developed a distinct in-ring style. Her finishers include the Area 451 (a 450° splash) and the Big Bang Theory (an inverted piledriver), which she later renamed based on the day of the week. After a period as a heel in 2024, she reverted to a babyface character. Statlander has also appeared in other media, providing motion capture for “WWE 2K20” in 2019 and appearing in the third season of Netflix’s “Floor is Lava” in 2022 alongside Orange Cassidy and Chuck Taylor. She is a licensed massage therapist, showcasing interests beyond professional wrestling.
