Kris Statlander is an American professional wrestler and stuntwoman known for her championship reigns in All Elite Wrestling and her unique in-ring persona. After training as a stunt double at Hollywood Stunts in Brooklyn, New York, Kris Statlander seamlessly transitioned into professional wrestling, making her debut in November 2016 under the ring name ‘Liza Verio.’ She honed her craft training under Pat Buck and Brian Myers at the Create A Pro Wrestling Academy in Hicksville, New York, where she notably became the first female graduate. Statlander’s unique in-ring persona and formidable athleticism quickly caught attention, leading to her signing with All Elite Wrestling (AEW) in November 2019, with the company officially announcing her addition to its roster in December 2019. She rapidly established herself as a prominent competitor within AEW’s burgeoning women’s division, consistently challenging for top honors.
In 2019, she contributed her physical expertise by providing motion capture for the video game ‘WWE 2K20.’ She later appeared in the third season of Netflix’s popular competition series ‘Floor is Lava’ in 2022, showcasing her personality alongside fellow AEW talents Orange Cassidy and Chuck Taylor.
