Kristin Skaslien is a Norwegian curler who has won medals at the World Mixed Doubles Championship, the European Mixed Championship, and best of all, the Winter Olympics. She generally pairs with her husband Magnus Nedregotten, and together they have represented Norway at nearly two dozen major international events since 2006. Although they finished fourth at the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang, the disqualification of the Russian skip for doping, they were awarded the bronze medals. In 2022, they won silver.
Born in Trondheim in January 1986, Skaslien made her European and World Championships in 2006. She first partnered with Nedregotten at the World Championships in 2013 with their best performances winning them bronze in 2013 and silver in 2021. She was also part of the that won silver at the 2014 European Mixed Doubles Championships.
Skaslien made her Olympic debut in 2018 in South Korea where the Norwegian team were ultimately placed third after doping in the Russian team saw them kicked out of the tournament. She returned for her second Games in 2022, improving on her previous performance by helping Norway to finish second (with no disqualifications in sight). Outside of curling, she enjoys a career as an operations analyst.
