Ky Baldwin was born on April 10, 2001, in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. His performing arts career began early, with his debut in show business in 2009 at the age of seven. His initial immersion in the arts started with tap dancing as part of Dein Perry’s “Tap Pups,” expanding his skills to include hip hop and jazz.
Baldwin’s acting career commenced at age seven, where he was cast as “Trouble” in a production of *Madame Butterfly* at the Sydney Opera House. He also performed as Gustave in Andrew Lloyd Webber’s *Love Never Dies* and in Dylan Thomas’s *Under Milk Wood* at the Sydney Theatre Company. He took on the role of Michael Banks in Disney’s *Mary Poppins* in Auckland, New Zealand. In 2010, at age nine, Baldwin appeared on *Australia’s Got Talent* with a tap dancing routine, becoming the youngest semi-finalist that year. His work in television includes roles in Australian series such as *Spirited*, *East West 101*, and *Underbelly: Razor*. He also voiced Little Nutbrown Hare in two seasons of the animated series *Guess How Much I Love You*. In 2014, he was a semi-finalist on *The Voice Kids* as part of Team Delta Goodrem.
A significant milestone in Baldwin’s career was his portrayal of young Peter Allen in the 2015 two-part TV biopic, *Peter Allen: Not the Boy Next Door*. For this role, he received an AACTA Award for Best Guest or Supporting Actor in a Television Drama in April 2016 and a Logie Award (Graham Kennedy Breakthrough Star of Tomorrow). Baldwin has also collaborated with DreamWorksTV for their “Songs That Stick” series and was a Disney Diary Vlogger for Disney Channel. More recently, he co-starred in the 2022 Nickelodeon Movies remake, *Snow Day*, which streams on Paramount+. In his music career, Baldwin released his debut EP “The Beginning” in 2014, featuring five original songs. His second EP, “Dare to Believe,” included the single “Just Dance” in May 2017, which was a finalist on Musical.ly’s “Next Wave: May.” He has released numerous original songs, including “You Make Me Wanna Dance,” “Lara,” “Do You Remember,” “It’s Time,” “Why,” “Summer Song,” “Goodbye,” “Dear Mom,” and “Depression Is A Monster.” Baldwin currently resides in Los Angeles, California, and has also engaged in parkour, competing in World Chase Tag’s Pan-American Championship and the WCT6 World Championship.
