Multi-talented Lamar Morris is a singer, rapper, songwriter, actor and dancer and a member of Now United, Simon Fuller’s global pop group. As an actor he is best known for the British drama series The Hour and also appeared in Ruined (2018) and as himself in the documentary showing the creation of Now United, Dreams Come True: The Documentary.
Hailing from Dagenham, Essex in the UK, Morris began performing at an early age, and in 2010 he took part in dance productions with the YMCA Tensing dance team. A year later he made his television debut in an episode of The Hour broadcast on the BBC.
In 2017 Morris was announced as the ninth member of new global pop group Now United, and he released preview single ‘Summer in the City’ later that year along with the other members of the band. After taking a step back from the group due to his school work, he became active with Now United once again in June 2019 and recorded ‘Like That’. In 2020 Morris took part in Take Overs on Now United’s Instagram account, where he participated in different video clips.
Although Morris is still with Now United he has begun to explore his solo career, and he featured on Southside Diddy’s ‘Roccstar Disappointments’ in November 2020. A talented songwriter, he has already earned producing and songwriting credits for Now United’s NU Party.
