Landon Cider (Drag King)

Kristine Bellaluna, known professionally as Landon Cider, was born and raised in Los Angeles, California. Her early career involved theatre acting in Southern California. Following a personal hiatus, she developed an interest in drag performance after observing drag shows at the Starlette Revue. Cider draws inspiration from male impersonator Vesta Tilley, Australian drag king Sexy Galexy, and lesbian icon Stormé DeLarverie, which influences her distinct style and approach to drag.

Cider gained significant recognition through her performances in the Southern California drag circuit, where she became a notable drag king. She is the master of ceremonies for the annual Los Angeles event series ‘Bent,’ which focuses on celebrating drag and queer identities. Her work extends to digital media, including hosting ‘Socially Distant,’ a livestreamed digital drag show. In 2013, Nicole Miyahara’s documentary ‘The Making of a King’ featured Cider, providing insight into her artistry.

A pivotal moment in Landon Cider’s career occurred in 2019 when she won season 3 of ‘The Boulet Brothers’ Dragula,’ becoming the first drag king to win a major American drag competition and earning the title of ‘World’s Next Drag Supermonster.’ This achievement followed her 2016 collaborations with World of Wonder, including appearances on James St. James’ ‘Transformations,’ and hosting the first King Panel at DragCon. She has since served as a judge for “Alaska Thunderfuck’s Drag Queen of the Year Pageant,” ‘Call Me Mother,’ and ‘The Boulet Brothers’ Dragula’ season 5. Additionally, Cider featured in the HBO reality television show ‘We’re Here’ and the 2020 book ‘Rainbow Revolutions’ by Magnus Hastings. In 2022, she starred in the Hulu original variety special ‘Huluween Dragstravaganza,’ broadcast on Hulu.
