Lara Naki Gutmann

Born on November 6, 2002, in Trento, Italy, Lara Naki Gutmann began her figure skating journey at an early age, inspired by Carolina Kostner’s performance at the 2006 Winter Olympics. Her middle name, “Naki,” is Ghanaian, meaning “first daughter,” a detail she attributes to bringing her luck in life and career. She is fluent in Italian, English, and German. Gutmann graduated from the University of Camerino in 2025 with a degree in Legal Sciences for Organizational Innovation and Social Cohesion.

Gutmann quickly progressed through the junior ranks, securing her first junior national bronze medal in 2015 and another in 2016. Her ISU Junior Grand Prix debut came in October 2017. In December 2017, she earned a silver medal at the Italian junior national championships. She made her senior international debut in December 2018, winning silver at the Bosphorus Cup. Reflecting her growing influence, she became a three-time Italian national champion from 2021 to 2023. She has achieved top-ten placements at the European Championships in 2023, 2024, and 2025, demonstrating an upward trajectory in her competitive career.

Her career highlights include participating in the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics in the team event, where Italy finished seventh. In 2024, she earned a bronze medal at the Finlandia Trophy, a Grand Prix event, and also won a bronze medal at the 2025 World Team Trophy in Tokyo with Team Italy. These achievements underline her consistent performance at the highest levels of competitive figure skating.
