Kévin Aymoz has been an Edea Family member since 2016, a partnership that highlights his use of their skating boots. This long-standing collaboration underscores his association with a prominent brand in figure skating equipment.
Kévin Aymoz was born on August 1, 1997, in Échirolles, France, and began his figure skating journey in 2003. His early career saw him develop through junior national levels, earning bronze medals in the French national junior championships in 2012-2013 and 2013-2014. He made his senior international debut in the 2014-2015 season, winning a silver medal at the Coupe du Printemps. Aymoz’s career progressed steadily, marked by his first senior national title in 2017. He has since become a six-time French national champion, with wins in 2017, 2019-2022, and 2025. His talent extends to the international circuit, where he has earned a bronze medal at the 2019–20 Grand Prix Final and seven ISU Grand Prix medals, demonstrating his ability to compete at the highest levels of the sport.
Aymoz has represented France at several major competitions, including the 2022 Winter Olympics in Beijing, where he finished twelfth. He has also achieved notable placements at World and European Championships, securing fourth place at the 2023 World Championships and twice at the European Championships (2019 and 2023). Throughout his career, Kévin Aymoz has been coached by figures such as Silvia Fontana, Françoise Bonnard, Véronique Cartau, Bernard Glesser, Jean-François Ballester, Didier Lucine, Claudine Lucine, Sophie Golaz, Katia Krier, and John Zimmerman, reflecting a diverse coaching environment that has supported his development. Key partnerships and collaborations include choreographers like Brice Mousset and Renée Roca, along with composers Karl Hugo and Maxime Rodriguez for his programs.
His journey has not been without challenges, including managing athletic pubalgia in the 2021-2022 season and navigating periods of mental health struggles, which led to a temporary withdrawal from competitions in 2024. Despite these setbacks, Aymoz has consistently shown resilience, returning to competition with renewed determination and achieving personal bests, such as a Free Skate score of 190.84 at the 2024 Skate America. His dedication to figure skating is evident in his continuous pursuit of excellence and his aspiration to inspire younger generations in the sport.
