La’Shaunae Steward is a curve model and body positivity activist who has already done much to challenge diversity and inclusion issues within the fashion industry. They first went viral in 2017 and have continued to build their profile, including an audience of over 157,000 Instagram followers. Today, they are an influencer and in-demand model with accolades such as being crowned winner of the Dazed 100 to their name. They have also worked with Teen Vogue, GMARO Magazine, and Jeffrey Campbell.

As a plus-size person, Steward has endured much discrimination in their life, being punished at school for wearing inappropriate clothing that other, smaller-sized girls (Steward identified as female at the time) were allowed to wear. They have faced similar issues in the modelling industry to do with everything from size to skin colour, but they have always remained authentic and true to themselves, speaking out when needed, calling things out when needed, and finding that to be the best way forward.
