Described by many as the real-life Thor, Lasse L. Matberg is a social media star and fitness model from Norway. Famous for his distinctive Viking looks – including his striking beard and long hair – Matberg is 6ft 6 inches tall and made of rippling muscles. Lasse is also a cross-training athlete with a degree in sports nutrition and personal training, and has amassed over 660,000 Instagram followers. Matberg achieves his incredible Norse God physique through a combination of fitness disciplines, including calisthenics and powerlifting. Born in a quiet area of rural Norway, Matberg is a Royal Norwegian Naval Officer who began modelling as a hobby after he grew his beard and hair whilst on national service and realised he enjoyed being in front of the camera. His Instagram account proved to be a huge hit, as pictures of the Norwegian hunk working out, chopping wood and even cuddling cute, fluffy dogs went viral and he picked up 250,000 followers in only five days.

The growth of Matberg’s fanbase has certainly been phenomenal, but his life hasn’t always been easy and he was often bullied at school for his appearance. He now hopes he can help bring confidence to others who have suffered bullying through his own inspiring tale of success.
