The stunning Lauren Howe is the epitome of beauty and brains. Not only is the former Miss Universe Canada 2017 a model, actress, TV personality, host, and actress, but she is also a full-qualified Industrial Engineer, too.
Born and raised in Toronto, Canada, Howe started out in pageantry when she was 18-years-old, joining Miss Teen Canada in 2011 for scholarship opportunities, where she then won and placed in the Top 5 at Miss Teen World and began using it as a platform to support women pursuing educations and career in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths). She attended the University of Toronto during this time, studying engineering, and in 2014 she also began her media career by working as the In-Arena Host for the Toronto Maple Leafs ice hockey team, as well as hosting a number of other events.
Howe ran for Miss Universe Canada in 2014, finishing 2nd, and was finally crowned Miss Universe Canada 2017, and was placed in the Top 10 at the Miss Universe 2017 pageant. In 2016 she became a correspondent for the Canadian TV network Citytv, and now actively uses her platform on TV to promote conversations surrounding STEM that ultimately empowers and inspires the youth of today, especially young women, to explore those fields.
Howe regularly connects with her legions of followers and fans through Instagram, and Twitter, posting pictures and videos of her life around broadcasting, travel and engineering. She also has an official website, laurenhowe.ca.
