Leah Williamson, born on March 29, 1997, in Milton Keynes, England, began her football journey with the grassroots club Scots Youth. She progressed through various age groups, representing her country from the U15s to the senior side. Williamson made her senior England debut in Russia in June 2018 and scored her first senior goal in Czechia in November 2019. Her early career saw her named England Young Player of the Year in 2014, following strong performances for development teams.
Williamson has achieved significant milestones in her career. She holds the distinction of being the first woman to lift a major trophy with England in July 2022 when the Lionesses won EURO 2022, defeating Germany 2-1. She then captained the Lionesses to successfully defend their title at EURO 2025, with a victory over Spain.
