American actor Lex Medlin is best known for his work in adverts and commercials, and in TV shows such as Drop Dead Diva.

After studying at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts, Medlin started to land work in advertising campaigns and commercials. He worked for several high profile brands including Twix, T-Mobile, Dockers and Solarcity, featuring in television adverts and gaining a reputation for his humour and professionalism. He started to become a well recognised face in the acting world, landing smaller parts and eventually securing a recurring role in sitcom Rock Me Baby which he starred in for a year. Over the next few years he made numerous television appearances, including in Happy Hour, Mental, Monk, and It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia. Medlin’s film credits also include Film Club, The Hot Sand and The Notorious #9, and he is now well known for his expressive performances and larger than life personality. In 2011, he was cast as one of the central characters in television sitcom Drop Dead Diva which he starred in for the next three years, going on to appear in popular shows such as Modern Family, Criminal Minds and, most recently, Jane the Virgin.

With recent performances in television series All Rise and the remake of Shameless, Medlin continues to be a first call for comedy roles and sitcoms. His warmth and humour make him a great choice for primetime dramas and he is now known as a versatile and skillful actor.
