During her time at the University of Miami, Luciano gained early professional experience interning with Telemundo, where she produced and anchored a finance and economics segment for Telemundo Internacional. After graduation, she was hired by Univision Networks as a correspondent and co-anchor for the evening newscast ‘En Vivo y Directo,’ and later as a co-host for ‘Escandalo TV’ (Scandal TV) on TeleFutura Network from 2006 to 2010. This period laid the groundwork for her extensive career in broadcast journalism.

Luciano’s career progressed significantly with her move to NBC News in December 2010, where she served as a national correspondent based in Miami. She was a key reporter for high-profile news stories, contributing to ‘NBC Nightly News,’ ‘The Today Show,’ MSNBC, The Weather Channel, and CNBC. Her assignments included covering Hurricane Irene in 2011, the Casey Anthony murder trial, and the Joran Van der Sloot murder trial in Peru in 2012. After her time at NBC, Luciano became a chief investigative correspondent for Discovery Channel’s ‘Border Live’ and an investigative reporter at TEGNA-owned ABC 10 in Sacramento. Her work at ABC 10 earned her multiple regional and national awards, including a Walter Cronkite Award for Excellence in Journalism in 2019 for her four-part documentary series, ‘Puerto Rico Rises.’ She also received five Regional Emmy Awards for her reporting on topics like immigration, asylum seekers, California wildfires, and her documentary on Hurricane Maria.

Currently, Luciano is a national correspondent and anchor at CBS News, based in New York, and hosts the iHeart Radio podcast, ‘El Flow.’ At CBS News, she spearheads coverage of major national events, including wildfires in California and Oregon, BLM protests, immigration at the U.S.-Mexico border, and the Astroworld festival tragedy.
