José Rafael Cordero, known professionally as Lince Dorado, was born on May 11, 1987, in Camden, New Jersey. He began his professional wrestling training in Mexico under El Pantera before relocating to the United States in early 2007. Dorado quickly gained recognition in various independent promotions, notably with Chikara. His career began on February 17, 2007, and he joined Chikara’s first-ever King of Trios tournament alongside El Pantera and Sicodelico, Jr., advancing to the semi-finals. He later won the King of Trios tournament in 2008 with El Pantera and Incognito. Dorado’s innovative high-flying wrestling style garnered significant fan support, leading to participation in the Rey de Voladores tournament. He temporarily transitioned to a more grounded wrestling style after a serious concussion in late 2007 before returning to his signature aerial maneuvers.
In 2016, Dorado was invited to participate in WWE’s Cruiserweight Classic tournament, where he defeated Mustafa Ali in the first round. Although eliminated in the second round by Rich Swann, his performance led to a contract offer from WWE. He debuted on Raw’s cruiserweight division in September 2016. In early 2018, Dorado formed the stable Lucha House Party with Kalisto and Gran Metalik, characterized by their high-energy performances and colorful masked personas. The group competed in various tag team matches on Raw and SmackDown, including a battle royal against other Raw tag teams and a five-on-five team elimination match at Survivor Series 2018. The Lucha House Party also engaged in a notable storyline with The Revival, participating in “Lucha House Rules” matches.
After a period with Lucha House Party, Dorado and Metalik were drafted to the Raw brand in the 2020 Draft. They also competed in the 2021 Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic on NXT. In November 2021, Dorado was released from his WWE contract. He then joined Major League Wrestling in 2022, where he won the MLW World Middleweight Championship on October 30, 2022, holding it until April 2023. Dorado also made appearances in New Japan Pro-Wrestling in 2022 and 2023, and challenged for the X Division Championship in Impact Wrestling in March 2023. In October 2023, he debuted in All Elite Wrestling. In 2025, Dorado returned to WWE, joining as both a wrestler and a trainer at the WWE Performance Center.
