After dedicating three decades to the fashion industry, Liz Hershfield established herself as a recognized leader in sustainable fashion and supply chain management, driving impactful initiatives for prominent brands. Hershfield’s career has seen her lead crucial supply chain and sustainability efforts for major companies including Old Navy, Bonobos, Madewell, and J.Crew. In these capacities, she significantly contributed to the growth and success of these companies through strategic implementation and executive leadership in production, product development, supply chain, and operations.

Hershfield’s contributions to sustainable fashion have garnered significant industry recognition. She was honored with the prestigious Textile Exchange Ryan Young Climate+ Award for her innovative regenerative cotton program, which provides vital support to U.S. cotton farmers. Further solidifying her influence, Hershfield also received The Lead’s ‘The Direct 60’ award and was included in the Rivet 50 Index, recognizing her impactful leadership within the dynamic denim industry.

In 2024, Liz Hershfield launched Green-ish, a specialized consultancy focused on assisting businesses with their Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) strategies and supply chain management. Green-ish empowers companies to develop robust and tailored resilient strategies, supporting them comprehensively at various stages of their sustainability journey. In May 2025, she was appointed Executive Director of Cotton Council International (CCI). In this capacity, she is tasked with promoting the substantial benefits and advanced sustainability of U.S. cotton on a global scale, reinforcing her long-standing commitment to responsible industry evolution.
