The amazing young sportswoman Lorena Wiebes is a professional racing cyclist, who currently rides for UCI Women’s WorldTeam Team DSM. She is a 2x European Champion, and in 2022 won the first stage of the Tour de France Femmes.
Born and raised in the Netherlands, Wiebes began cycling at a young age, and came first in the 2016 National Junior Road Championships road race when she was 17-years-old. The following year she joined the amateur team Swaboladies.nl, and continued to have success, including winning the 2017 UEC Junior European Road Championships road race. Since then she has won a number of one day and classic races, including the 2019 National Road Championships, and the Scheldeprijs back-to-back in 2021 and 2022. And 2022 also saw her win two individual stages at the Tour de France.
On the international stage, Wiebes has represented her native Netherlands in the road race, winning Gold at the 2019 European Games, and Gold at the 2022 European Championships.
