Lori Loughlin

Lori Anne Loughlin was born on July 28, 1964, in New York City, New York. She began her career at the age of 11 as a print model, which led to her being cast in the ABC soap opera “The Edge of Night” from 1980 to 1983, playing Jody Travis, an aspiring dancer. Following her initial success, Loughlin appeared in several feature films and television guest spots throughout the 1980s, including “The New Kids” (1985) and the BMX-themed film “Rad” (1986). A significant turning point in her career came in 1988 when she was cast as Rebecca Donaldson in the ABC sitcom “Full House.” Initially contracted for a limited role, her character’s positive reception led to her becoming a full-time cast member, a role she held until the series concluded in 1995. She later reprised this role in the Netflix sequel “Fuller House” from 2016 to 2018.

Throughout the late 1990s and early 2000s, Loughlin continued to work in television, guest-starring in shows such as “Suddenly Susan,” “Spin City,” and “Seinfeld.” She also expanded her involvement behind the scenes, co-creating, producing, and starring in “Summerland” (2004–2005) for The WB, where she played Ava, an aunt raising three children. Her career also included a notable role as Debbie Wilson in The CW series “90210” from 2008 to 2012. Loughlin also became a prominent figure on the Hallmark Channel, starring in the “Garage Sale Mystery” television film series from 2013 to 2020 and playing Abigail Stanton in “When Calls the Heart” from 2013 to 2019.

After a period of legal challenges related to the 2019 college admissions bribery scandal, Loughlin resumed her acting career. She appeared in the second season premiere of “When Hope Calls” in late 2021, reprising her role as Abigail Stanton. Following this, she took on roles in other GAC original movies and made several television series appearances, including episodes of “Blue Bloods” in 2016 and 2024, as well as a cameo in “Curb Your Enthusiasm” in 2024. She is also slated for a main role as Lieutenant Bishop in the upcoming 2025 series “On Call.”
