Lucinda Dryzek was born on August 4, 1991, in High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire, England. She began her acting career at the age of eight, appearing in various film, television, and theatre productions. Her early career highlights include playing Marta in a stage production of ‘The Sound of Music,’ where she was discovered by her agent. In 2003, Dryzek gained international recognition for her role as Young Elizabeth Swann in the film “Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl.” She continued to build her filmography with a supporting role in the 2008 film “City of Ember,” playing Lizzie Bisco.

Dryzek’s television career has been extensive, featuring roles in several notable British series. She appeared in “Silent Witness” as Cassie Dalton in 2002 and later as Marie Walsh in 2019. In 2006, she played Melissa in an episode of “Doctor Who” entitled “School Reunion.” From 2009 to 2011, Dryzek starred as Katy Riley in the BBC sitcom “Life of Riley” for 20 episodes. She further established her presence in British television with roles in “Stella” as Leah in 2013 and “Midsomer Murders” as Amy Strickland in 2014. Her performance as Flora Greysteel in the 2015 TV mini-series “Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrell” also marked a significant achievement in her career.

A pivotal role in Dryzek’s career arrived in 2016 when she joined the cast of the BBC medical drama “Holby City” as F1 doctor Jasmine Burrows. She portrayed the character for 40 episodes until 2017, a role that was well-received by critics and audiences. Her portrayal was long-listed for Inside Soap’s 2017 Best Drama Storyline. More recently, Dryzek has continued to take on diverse roles, including Claire Finch in “Unforgotten” (2018) and Katherine Langford in “The Twilight Zone” (2019). Her recent work includes playing Lynn Wood in “McDonald & Dodds” (2024), Sissy Bartram in “Outlander” (2024), and DS Sara Burns in “Code of Silence” (2025), showcasing ongoing career progression and versatility.
