Multi-talented Maiara Walsh is a Brazilian-American singer and actress famous for playing Ana Solis on ABC’s hit television show Desperate Housewives. Walsh is also a talented director who received critical acclaim for her directing debut on 2017’s Young Blood.
Born to an American father and Brazilian mother in Seattle, Walsh moved to Sao Paulo when she was 1. After moving back to Seattle she began to take an interest in the arts and music, and after moving to Southern California she began to chase her dreams of becoming a performer. After getting her first break in Disney Channel’s Cory in the House her career took off and she began to land roles in numerous hit television series.
When she isn’t acting in movies or some of the biggest shows on television, Walsh is an imaginative visionary who is constantly creating – either her soulful, edgy music or writing television scripts and feature films. Also a philanthropist and avid supporter of human rights, she has volunteered for Equestrian Therapy, Children’s Hospital Los Angeles and created self-esteem workshops for young women.
