Manny Jacinto has established himself as a prominent Canadian actor, recognized for his impactful roles across television and film productions. After securing his breakout role in 2016 as Jason Mendoza on the NBC sitcom ‘The Good Place,’ Manny Jacinto went on to establish himself as a prominent actor with impactful roles across television and film. His portrayal of Jason Mendoza, an EDM-obsessed character, garnered favorable reviews for challenging typical depictions of Asian men in Hollywood and solidified his presence in mainstream television. Prior to this, Jacinto earned a Leo Award nomination in 2016 for Best Supporting Performance in a Dramatic Series for his role as triad leader Wing Lei in the 2015 Canadian spy drama ‘The Romeo Section,’ following earlier appearances in series such as ‘Once Upon a Time,’ ‘Supernatural,’ and ‘iZombie.’ Jacinto expanded his filmography with several major productions following his success on ‘The Good Place.’ In 2018, he appeared in the ensemble thriller ‘Bad Times at the El Royale.’ The same year, he was cast in the highly anticipated ‘Top Gun’ sequel, ‘Top Gun: Maverick,’ which premiered in 2022 and saw him portray Lieutenant Billy ‘Fritz’ Avalone.
