Marco Asensio is a Spanish professional footballer who is best know as playing as a winger and attacking midfielder for Real Madrid as well as for the Spanish national team. Asensio began his career at Mallorca and later signed with Real Madrid in 2014, he has gone on to win several trophies and awards, namely two Champions League’s and two La Liga trophies.
Asensio made his debut appearance for Spain in 2016 and has represented his national team at the 2018 World Cup. As a youth, Asensio showed great potential and was scouted by both Real Madrid and FC Barcelona and was signed by Real Madrid in 2014. In 2015, he was loaned to RCD Espanyol in La Liga and returned to Real Madrid for the 2016-17 season.
In his returning season he scored three goals and Real Madrid won the national championship for the first time since 2012.
In 2017 Asensio’s contract was extended to 2023 with Real Madrid, he has won many trophies and titles with the club and in the 2019-20 season, he scored three goals in nine games, leading Real Madrid to win the 2019-20 La Liga.
