Marco Hösli is a world-renowned Swiss curler and two-time World Junior silver medallist. He has been competing in the sport at the national and international level for the last few years, and has achieved significant success in the early stages of his career.
Hösli is new to the global curling scene and took the sport by storm when he made his first appearance in Juniors. In 2019, Hösli skipped Team Switzerland at the World Junior Curling Championships, alongside teammates Philip Hösli, Marco Hefti and Jannis Spiess. The team played incredibly well and Hösli proved himself as an up-and-coming force in the sport when he led them to a 6-3 round robin record. Consequently, Team Switzerland made the playoffs and defeated the previously undefeated Team Scotland – skipped by Ross Whyte – and won silver overall after playing against Canada in the final. The 2020 World Junior Curling Championships saw a similar story play out, with Hösli representing Team Switzerland and taking over as skip after the first four games, beating Scotland and similarly winning another silver medal in the final against Canada.
Following his superior breakthrough in Juniors, Hösli and his rink played in the 2020 Swiss Men’s Curling Championship and won the Murom Classic World Curling Tour event. In an incredible feat, Hösli’s team kicked off their 2021-2022 curling season by winning two of their first three events in the World Curling Tour events, as well as the Adelboden International and the WCT Tallinn Mens International Challenger.
Off the ice, Hösli is always looking for ways to improve and push himself to new heights. He’s an undeniable role model in the sport and has a dedicated following in Switzerland, inspiring young curlers and a next generation of athletes.
