Marco Sunol-Rojas is a former professional soccer player turned entrepreneur. He played for the Charlotte 49ers, who represent the University of North Carolina in the United States. He is the youngest men’s soccer player to earn a division 1 start for The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (17 years, 364 days). Sunol-Rojas was named to the Top Drawer Soccer Team of the Week twice during his two years with the 49ers, and helped his team win the Conference USA Regular Season Championship in 2016. In 2017, he contributed significantly to the 49ers’ appearance in the Conference USA Tournament Championship game. He appeared #5 in ESPN Top 10 Plays with a Bicycle Kick Goal he scored with the Charlotte 49ers. Sunol-Rojas was also a member of the Costa Rican National Team.
In April 2019, Sunol-Rojas and his brother, Danny, along with fellow footballer Verneri Välimaa created VEM Konnekt, a digital networking and marketing platform for athletes, creatives, entrepreneurs, models, and others. Sunol-Rojas chose to hang up his boots following a short professional career in Melbourne (Australia) and Florence (Italy) and relocate to Miami, Florida in order to put what they had already began to establish online into practice, starting their second business, the VEM Boutique. DSPLACE, South Beach Group Hotels, and Ignite CBD, to mention a few, were among the top brands with which VEM Boutique partnered with for distribution, marketing, and event coordinating. The company staged some fantastic events, including a Shakti Swim runway show on the Catalina Hotel’s rooftop during Miami Swim Week, an Ignite CBD Event at Club LIV during the USA CBD Expo, as well as the Made Man SkinCare Launch at Jeremy Gardner’s Crypto Castle in Miami.
The Sunol-Rojas Brothers sold the VEM Boutique in August 2019 after gaining confirmation about what they already knew: the world had changed, and a physical store was not the greatest option for them. They resumed their initial efforts, focusing on marketing and networking with top professionals, brands, and businesses, including Arkup (a self-sustaining, livable yacht), LVH Global (luxury brokerage), EPL Diamond (a Miami diamond shop), Smog Armor (air-purifying paint), Made Man (men’s skincare), and most notably, Bin Jabr Group.
Fast-Forward to March of 2021, and the success of the Sunol-Rojas brothers lead them to officially launch their Digital Pseudonym ‘SirGuy’ with a focus pioneering the technology space including: digital asset consulting, investing, marketing, and development. The SirGuy Pseudonym has become a well-respected name in the technology industry, as they have used their contacts to propel themselves into the ‘high society’ of Cryptocurrency Influencers, Traders, and Pioneers. The Sunol-Rojas Brothers, or ‘SirGuy’ have also acquired stakes in several digital platforms such as $DESO, a decentralized social media platform for creators in the digital space. They are the proud owners of VEM (Private Firm), VEM Kana (CBD Distribution), dot.305 (Community), and SirGuy Digital Pseudonym.
