Marcy Avila is a young Venezuelan actor, musician, LGBT rights activist, and social media influencer. Now based in America, she is continuing to build her reputation by regularly interacting with her growing fanbase on various social media platforms, acting, and making music. Assigned as a male at birth, she began her transition to female in 2018 and has been very open in documenting the process, helping and inspiring others who may be going through the same process, and helping to combat transphobia. She is also a passionate advocate for LGBT rights in Venezuela, something she regularly posts to her 150,000 followers about.
Avila was born in Caracas in February 1997. She caught the acting bug young and made her stage debut when she was just five years old. She eventually made her screen debut in 2018, playing Martin in a Venezuelan telenova called Emeamiga. She followed up this up with a part in Almas en Pena (Souls in Pain), which was distributed by Amazon Prime.
Avila’s biggest audience, however, is on TikTok where she regularly posts all kinds of contest from lipdubs to viral challenges to improvised guitar solos to posts challenging transphobia.
