Matthew Josten is an up-and-coming American actor and director, best known for his performances in Chicken Little, Meet the Robinsons and Netflix’s Sneakerheads.
Hailing from California, Josten embarked on a career in acting at an early age and was cast in The WB’s comic book-inspired Birds of Prey at just five years old. Josten soon found success as a child actor, appearing as Little A.J. Roberts in CBS’ legal drama JAG, Gus Carey in seven-time Emmy-nominated The Drew Carey Show and Bo Hamilton in ABC Studio’s sitcom Rodney. His long-time recurring role in the latter earned him his first award nomination at the 2005 Young Artist Award for Best Performance in a TV Series.
Josten’s first voice-over role was as Kirby in Walt Disney’s animated comedy Chicken Little, for which he won the 2006 Young Artist Award for Best Performance in a Voice-Over Role. This was soon followed by his being cast as Michael ‘Goob’ Yagoobian in Walt Disney’s Meet the Robinsons. Josten’s earliest movie credits included Dillon in Jake’s closet and Young Oscar Dillasaw in The Absent.
In recent years, Josten’s career has gone from strength to strength, and he shows no signs of slowing down. His adult credits include Brett Myers in Nick at Nite’s Instant Mom, Dakin Williams in Tenn, Matt in Raw Dogs, for which he also directs and produces, Eddie in Boy Genius, Jimmy in Bachelor’s Pad and David in Timeline. Josten has most recently been cast in Netflix’s new comedy Sneakerheads, in which he plays Stuey. Having amassed almost 100k followers across his social media profiles, Josten has won a legion of dedicated fans.
