Jon Devore

Jon Devore was born on June 10, 1975, in Alaska, USA. His career in human flight began in 1993 with his first tandem skydive in Juneau, Alaska. By 1994, he relocated to Skydive Arizona to pursue his passion, where he collaborated with a group of skydivers to advance the discipline of freeflying. Devore became one of the initial full-time freefly coaches, and through his team, Alchemy, he organized numerous freefly world record attempts, contributing to the development of this segment of the sport.

Over his 30-year career, Devore has accumulated more than 22,000 skydives and BASE/wingsuit jumps, establishing himself as a professional skydiver and cameraman. He has achieved significant competitive success, securing two World Champion titles and three National Champion titles. For over two decades, he has served as the Aerial Coordinator of the Red Bull Air Force Stunt Team, a role that involves managing and directing an elite human flight team. In this capacity, he has coordinated skydiving demonstrations and live shows globally, aiming to educate the public about the sport.

Devore has also applied his specialized skills to the film industry, contributing to numerous Hollywood feature films. His work includes roles as a stunt coordinator, skydiving stunt performer, and aerial cinematographer. Notable projects include “Transformers: Dark of the Moon” (2011), where he performed as a wingsuit flyer, “Iron Man 3” (2013), where he was part of the skydiving team “Barrel of Monkeys”, and “Point Break” (2015), providing stunt work. More recently, he served as aerial stunt coordinator and camera flyer for “Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One” (2023), further demonstrating his diverse expertise in aerial performance and production.
