A therapist, podcaster, actor, comedian and more, the multitalented Matt Marr has the honor of being known as the Gay White Oprah. As an actor, Marr has appeared on the ABC mega hit Modern Family, as well as the short film The Curse of The Unkissable Kid and the 2017 animation series Knock Knock Animals. He has performed stand-up comedy at a number of renowned venues around the US West Coast, including The Laugh Factory, The Comedy Store and The Hollywood Improv. Marr is the creator of the Sissy That Talk Podcast Network and the co-host of hit podcast The 90 Day Gays, in which Hulu’s long-running reality show 90 Day Fiancé is subjected to deliciously shady scrutiny.
Born in southern Oklahoma, Marr traces his his love of conversation back to his large and loquacious Southern family. After receiving an undergraduate degree in Opera Performance from the University of North Texas, Marr completed a Masters of Clinical Psychology, specializing in Narrative Therapy. A naturally curious and caring soul, Marr is the guy in the grocery store that compliments your eye makeup and then two minutes later you’re asking him for dating advice—and he’s calling you ‘sugar’.
Marr has been a contestant on a number of TV game shows, including NBC’s Minute to Win It, TNT’s Boom! and ABC’s Show Me the Money, hosted by Star Trek legend William Shatner. Marr has also appeared in the web series Weekend Warriors and the long-running Pillow Talk. He keeps up with his fans via @themattmarr on Instagram, where he boasts over 16,000 followers.
