Maurice Greene

Born Maurice Darnell Greene on July 5, 1986, in Norfolk, Virginia, Maurice Greene embarked on his journey in mixed martial arts in his early twenties. He initially began training to address weight and later honed his skills at START Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Academy under Brock Larson. His professional MMA career commenced in 2012, building a record of 5-2 before gaining national recognition on “The Ultimate Fighter 28: Heavy Hitters” in 2017. During his time on the show, he advanced to the semi-finals, showcasing his striking and grappling abilities.

Greene’s tenure in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) began in 2018, where he secured notable victories, including a submission win against Michel Batista at The Ultimate Fighter 28 Finale and a technical knockout over Júnior Albini in 2019. Following his UFC career, Greene continued competing in prominent organizations such as the Professional Fighters League (PFL), securing a TKO victory against Marcelo Nunes in 2023, and Gamebred Bareknuckle MMA, earning a submission win against Chase Sherman in 2024. Throughout his combat sports career, spanning over 15 years, he became known for his persistent effort and discipline.

Beyond mixed martial arts, Maurice Greene has cultivated a career in acting and entrepreneurship. Demonstrating a unique duality, Greene is also a self-taught crochet artist, a skill he started in 2008.
