Zabit Magomedsharipov is a former professional mixed martial artist, known for his dynamic fighting style and successful career in both Absolute Championship Berkut (ACB) and the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). He now focuses on coaching and may pursue wrestling and grappling competitions. After accumulating a formidable 6-1 record in his professional mixed martial arts debut in 2012, Zabit Magomedsharipov went on to dominate Absolute Championship Berkut (ACB). There, he achieved a perfect 6-0 record, culminating in winning and successfully defending the ACB Featherweight Championship in 2016.
In June 2022, Magomedsharipov notified the UFC of his retirement from professional mixed martial arts, citing health issues and chronic injuries. Since his retirement, he has transitioned into coaching, actively mentoring his younger brother, Khasan Magomedsharipov, who is also a professional mixed martial artist. While no longer competing in MMA, Magomedsharipov has expressed interest in participating in elite wrestling and grappling competitions, continuing to engage with combat sports in new capacities.
