Football star Maxx Crosby was undoubtedly one of the NFLs best players in 2021. Pro Football Focus ranked the Las Vegas Raiders defensive end at No. 12 – the fourth-ranked defender in the NFL – after he became only the third player in the previous 15 years to rack up at least 100 pressures during the regular season, joining Aaron Donald and J.J. Watt. The talented youngster was also the most consistent edge rusher. In 2022 Crosby continued to give Allegiant Stadium their money’s worth, and he capped off his eight sack season is style with one final dominant all-around performance in the Pro Bowl. Crosby – nicknamed The Condor – also earned the game’s Defensive MVP award and a donation to Stand Up for Pits Foundation (his favourite charity) in front of the hometown crowd.
Born in Colleyville, Texas, Crosby was a stand-out player at Eastern Michigan College where he was selected First Team All-MAC in both 2017 and 2018. The Oakland Raiders drafted the 6ft 5in defensive end in the fourth round, 106th overall of the 2019 NFL Draft, and he made his debut in week 1 against the Denver Broncos, making 6 tackles in the 24-16 victory. Since then, Crosby has proven himself as an elite talent, his skills matched by an incredible work ethic and leadership abilities. Now signed to a multi-year contract extension with the Las Vegas Raiders, Crosby looks set to continue to be an important part of the organization for many years to come.
