United States Kellen Moore has transitioned from a record-setting college quarterback and NFL player to a Super Bowl-winning offensive coordinator and now, a head coach.
Kellen Moore was named the 19th head coach in franchise history on February 11, 2025, following a Super Bowl LIX victory with the Philadelphia Eagles. He is the youngest head coach in the NFL.
Moore served as the offensive coordinator for the Philadelphia Eagles during their 2024 World Championship season, which culminated in a Super Bowl LIX victory. The Eagles' offense ranked among the top in the league under his guidance.
In 2023, Moore was the offensive coordinator for the Los Angeles Chargers, where he coached Keenan Allen to a Pro Bowl selection and guided Justin Herbert.
Moore spent four seasons as the offensive coordinator for the Dallas Cowboys (2019-2022), during which the team's offense ranked highly in total offense and scoring, securing two NFC East titles.

Kellen Moore was born on July 5, 1988, in Prosser, Washington. He demonstrated early talent in football, playing under his father, Tom Moore, who was the head coach at Prosser High School. Moore set Washington state career records for completions (787) and touchdown passes (173), leading Prosser High to significant success. His collegiate career at Boise State University was notable for its sustained excellence, where he achieved an NCAA record 50 wins as a starting quarterback. He concluded his time at Boise State with the second-most touchdown passes (142) and sixth-most passing yards (14,667) in NCAA history, alongside a career completion percentage of 69.7. Moore earned multiple accolades, including first-team All-American honors in 2009 and 2010, and was a two-time Western Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Year.
After going undrafted in the 2012 NFL Draft, Moore signed with the Detroit Lions, where he spent three seasons. He later joined the Dallas Cowboys in 2015, making his NFL debut and playing in three games, including two starts. In 2015, he became the fifth quarterback in Cowboys history to throw for over 400 yards in a single game, recording 435 passing yards and three touchdowns against the Washington Redskins. Following his playing retirement in 2018, Moore transitioned to coaching, starting as the quarterbacks coach for the Dallas Cowboys. He was promoted to offensive coordinator in 2019, where he led units that ranked among the NFL’s best in total offense and scoring, achieving two NFC East titles and three playoff appearances.
Moore’s coaching career progressed with stints as offensive coordinator for the Los Angeles Chargers in 2023 and the Philadelphia Eagles in 2024. With the Eagles, he was a key figure in their 2024 World Championship campaign, which culminated in a Super Bowl LIX victory. The Eagles’ offense under Moore set a franchise record for rushing yards and included several individual record-setting performances, such as Saquon Barkley’s 2,005 rushing yards. On February 11, 2025, Moore was named the 19th head coach in the history of the New Orleans Saints, becoming the youngest head coach in the NFL.
