megan olivi
Megan Olivi is a widely recognised mixed martial arts, news and events reporter and broadcaster for UFC, ESPN and NFL on Fox, who is best known as the host of UFC Ultimate Insider on Fox Sports 1. She has been covering mixed martial arts for over a decade. Olivi was born in New Jersey and is of Italian descent, she studied at Seton Hall University for a degree in political science.
After interning at Fox News Channel, she studied for a master’s degree in broadcast journalism.
Shortly after, she was offered to chance to cover mixed martial arts in Las Vegas so she moved across the country to take the opportunity. It was only upon taking on the role that she found her love for the sport, she went on to co-host the live UFC Preshow Fight Day and began working for Fox Sports covering UFC events. In 2013, Olivi accepted a role as a correspondent for Fox 6 News San Diego, she covered the San Diego Padres and hosted/produced a magazine show called ‘Padres POV’.
Olivi now travels all over the world covering UFC events and is the host of UFC Ultimate Insider on Fox Sports 1. Her television series on UFC Fight Pass has been very popular, titled ‘The Exchange With Megan Olivi’. Olivi is married to UFC flyweight figher, Joseph Benavidez and enjoys hiking, yoga, running, cooking and spending time with her dog in her free time. At UFC events, Olivi can be seen cage-side where she gives insightful pre-fight reports post-fight interviews.
