Meredith Masony established ‘That’s Inappropriate’ in 2014, an online community dedicated to mothers, following a health scare that prompted her to pursue her personal aspirations. This platform emerged from her desire to discuss the less idealized aspects of motherhood, connecting with others through shared experiences often labeled as ‘inappropriate’ due to societal expectations. Her work began with blogging and evolved into video content and live interactions to better engage her growing audience. Her approach focuses on the humor inherent in daily life, marriage, and parenting, aiming to create an inclusive space where discomforts and challenges are openly acknowledged and discussed.

Over the years, Masony has significantly expanded her presence and influence. She has authored multiple books, including “Ask Me What’s for Dinner One More Time,” offering humorous essays on parenting, marriage, and personal anxieties. In addition to her writing, Masony co-hosts the “Take it or Leave It” podcast with Tiffany Jenkins, providing an ‘advice-ish’ format for parents. Her career also includes extensive live performances, notably a 76-city tour titled “MY NAME IS NOT MOM,” and her current solo comedy tour, “The Mental Load.” She also launched a parenting website, Filter Free Parents, further extending her reach in the online parenting community.
