Michaella McCollum

Michaella McCollum, originally from Dungannon, Northern Ireland, gained international attention in 2013 when she was arrested in Peru for drug smuggling alongside Melissa Reid. The duo was caught with 12 kg of cocaine at Jorge Chávez International Airport after a holiday in Ibiza. Initially claiming coercion by an armed gang, they later pleaded guilty and were sentenced to over six years in prison. During her time in Ancón 2 prison, Michaella took on beauty therapy training, which became a pivotal part of her transformation.

After her release in 2016, Michaella embarked on a journey of self-discovery and redemption. She authored a book titled “You’ll Never See Daylight Again,” sharing her experiences and the lessons learned from her past.
