Michela Moioli was born on July 17, 1995, in Alzano Lombardo, Italy. She began her career in snowboarding, specializing in snowboard cross. At the age of 18, Moioli qualified for the Winter Olympics, participating in Sochi 2014, where she finished 6th in women’s boardercross. During this competition, a significant fall resulted in a cruciate ligament injury, leading to a premature end to her competitive season and requiring surgery. This event marked a turning point in her early career, highlighting her resilience in overcoming physical setbacks.
Following her recovery, Moioli continued to compete at an international level. She returned for the PyeongChang 2018 Winter Olympics, where she earned a gold medal in women’s snowboard cross. Her career progression includes multiple podium finishes in the FIS Snowboard World Cup. She achieved first place in the Snowboard Cross World Cup in 2016, 2018, and 2020. Moioli has also secured multiple medals at the World Championships, including a silver medal at the 2021 World Championships in Idre and a gold medal at the 2025 World Championships in Engadin. Her consistent performance at elite levels, combined with her Olympic achievements, establishes her as a prominent figure in the sport.
Throughout her career, Moioli has demonstrated dedication and a strong competitive spirit. She has participated in three Olympic Games, from Sochi 2014 to Beijing 2022, where she earned a silver medal in Mixed Team Snowboard Cross.
