Mike Bloomgren is an Football coach known for his work as a collegiate offensive coordinator and head coach, now serving as an offensive line coach in the NFL. After earning his bachelor’s degree in sports management magna cum laude from Florida State University in 1999, Mike Bloomgren gained early coaching experience as an undergraduate assistant for the linebackers. He furthered his academic and coaching development by earning a master’s degree in higher education administration with a perfect 4.0 GPA from the University of Alabama, where he also served as a graduate assistant from 1999 to 2001. Bloomgren then transitioned to full-time collegiate roles, first as an assistant at Catawba College from 2002 to 2005, before taking on expanded responsibilities as offensive coordinator, offensive line, and special teams coach at Delta State University from 2005 to 2007.
Under his leadership, he successfully guided the Owls to two significant bowl appearances, a testament to his strategic development and program-building capabilities. His coaching prowess also fostered individual talent, evidenced by Luke McCaffrey being named to the 2023 All-AAC conference team under his direct guidance in 2023. Bringing a distinguished career spanning 26 years of extensive coaching experience across both highly competitive collegiate and professional levels, Mike Bloomgren returned to the National Football League in 2025. He accepted the esteemed role of offensive line coach for the Cleveland Browns, a move that further underscores his continued influence and expertise within elite football programs.
