Mindy Sterling

Mindy Sterling gained significant recognition for her iconic role as Frau Farbissina, Dr. Evil’s domineering yet memorable sidekick, across the critically acclaimed ‘Austin Powers’ film trilogy. Her portrayal began with ‘Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery’ in 1997, a role she reprised in the successful sequels ‘Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me’ (1999) and ‘Austin Powers in Goldmember’ (2002). Prior to this cinematic breakthrough, Sterling honed her comedic skills as a member of The Groundlings, a notable L.A.-based comedy troupe, in the 1980s.

Francine Briggs in the popular Nickelodeon series ‘iCarly’ from 2007 to 2012, and concurrently played Principal Susan Skidmore in Disney Channel’s ‘A.N.T. Farm’ from 2011 to 2013. Her diverse television credits also include a recurring role as Mitzi Kinsky in the hit ABC drama ‘Desperate Housewives’ from 2010 to 2011. More recently, Sterling was a beloved fixture on the ABC sitcom ‘The Goldbergs,’ portraying Linda Schwartz from 2017 through 2023, showcasing her consistent comedic talent over multiple seasons.

In recognition of her exceptional work, Sterling received two Primetime Emmy Award nominations in 2017 for her performances in the short-form comedy or drama series ‘Con Man’ and ‘Sex & Execs.’ Mindy Sterling continues to be a sought-after talent across both live-action and animated productions. She recently appeared in a guest role on the CBS medical comedy ‘St. Denis Medical’ in 2024. Her prolific voice-acting career remains active, with an eagerly anticipated upcoming voice role in the animated series ‘Phineas and Ferb,’ slated for release in 2025.
