Moe Hay Ko, born Aye Aye Khine on June 26, 1985, in Mandalay, Myanmar, began her career in the entertainment industry as a model in 1999. She trained under Tin Moe Lwin and was associated with John Lwin’s John International Modeling Agency, participating in numerous modeling competitions and runway shows. Her work in TV commercials and DVD productions led to her transition into acting.
She made her film debut in 2005 with a leading role in “Eain Mat Alon.” The same year, she starred in “Kyun Ma Ma Hay Thi.” A significant milestone occurred in 2006 with her role in “A Hmyin,” which became a domestic success and increased her recognition. In 2008, she took on her first big-screen leading role in “Moe Nya Eian Mat Mhyu,” released in 2009, earning her a Best Actress nomination at the Myanmar Academy Award Ceremony. Her role in the 2013 film “HnaLonThar Phyint Pyuu-Lote Thi,” released in 2014, also garnered a Best Actress nomination at the 2014 Myanmar Academy Awards. Throughout her career, Moe Hay Ko has acted in over 300 films.
Beyond acting, Moe Hay Ko expanded her career into business and production. In 2014, she established Moe Film Production, which has since produced over 10 films, starting with “Yone Pati Thee Lay Myar.” Her business ventures further include the launch of “Moe Fabric House” on March 27, 2015, selling silk, cotton, and traditional fabrics. In 2016, she authored and released a travel documentary book titled “Kya Ma Chit Thaw” (My Beloved), which included photography of herself and various local destinations.
