Karen Huger, born Karen Wooden on May 3, 1963, in Spring Grove, Virginia, embarked on her career in television in 2016. She became a primary cast member on Bravo’s reality series, “The Real Housewives of Potomac,” which premiered on January 17, 2016. Her presence on the show quickly established her as a notable figure, with her often referred to as “the Grand Dame.” Huger has maintained her role as a consistent cast member for all nine seasons of the series, with the ninth season premiering on October 6, 2024. Beyond her television appearances, Huger has expanded her professional endeavors into product development.

In 2019, Huger introduced her perfume line, “La’ Dame!” This fragrance has achieved distribution in specialty and high-end retail locations, including Bloomingdale’s. She later expanded the “La’ Dame” brand to include home products, such as candles and diffusers, as well as a wig line, “La’Dame by KH X RPGSHOW.” Her business ventures continued to grow, and in 2021, she was appointed as the Surry County, Virginia, ambassador for tourism.
