Mohammed Siraj

Mohammed Siraj is a prominent Indian international cricketer, known for his fast bowling and significant contributions to both national and franchise teams. After becoming the leading wicket-taker for Hyderabad in the 2016–17 Ranji Trophy with an impressive 41 wickets at an average of 18.92, Mohammed Siraj quickly established himself as a formidable talent in Indian cricket. His professional career commenced with his first-class debut for Hyderabad on November 15, 2015, in the 2015–16 Ranji Trophy. Following his Ranji success, he continued to dominate, becoming the highest wicket-taker in the 2017–18 Vijay Hazare Trophy with 23 dismissals.

In 2020, he made IPL history by bowling back-to-back maiden overs in a single match, showcasing his exceptional control and skill. Siraj further cemented his standing as an elite bowler by being a key member of the Indian squad that clinched the 2024 T20 World Cup, adding another major international trophy to his accolades. His consistent value and high demand in the sport were underscored in November 2024, when he was acquired by Gujarat Titans for a significant sum during the 2025 IPL Mega Auction. Beyond the cricket field, Siraj received significant civic recognition in October 2024, when he was appointed an honorary Deputy Superintendent of Police in Hyderabad, and further demonstrated entrepreneurial spirit by launching his own restaurant, ‘JOHARFA,’ in July 2025.
