Hailed the “female Jerry Maguire”, trailblazer Molly Fletcher spent twenty years as one of the world’s sole female sports agents. Fletcher represented some of the biggest names in sport, including PGA Tour golfer Matt Kuchar, Hall of Fame pitcher John Smoltz, basketball championship coaches Doc Rivers and Tom Izzo, and broadcaster Erin Andrews.
A highly in-demand keynote speaker, Fletcher shares the experiences and techniques that helped her become a successful agent in a male-dominated environment, successfully negotiating over $500 million in contracts during her career. Now a successful entrepreneur, she has founded consulting firm The Molly Fletcher Company and has featured in Sports Illustrated, Fast Company, ESPN and Forbes. A prolific author, Fletcher has written four books: A Winner’s Guide to Negotiating; Fearless At Work; The Business of Being the Best; and The 5 Best Tools to Find Your Dream Career.
Born in East Lansing, Michigan, Fletcher graduated from Michigan State University with a B.A in communications, and became captain of the varsity tennis team, playing from 1989 until 1993. After graduation, Fletcher moved to Atlanta where she negotiated her first contract teaching tennis lessons in exchange for her rent. A natural negotiator, she landed a role at ESPN’s Intellimedia Sports, Inc., before working on the Super Bowl XXVIII Host Committee and joining CSE as a sport agent.
Fletcher currently serves on Positive Coaching Alliance national advisory board and is on the board of directors for the Intercollegiate Tennis Association.
