Molly Yeh is an American cookbook author, television personality, restaurateur, and blogger, widely recognized for her Food Network cooking show, “Girl Meets Farm.” After earning consecutive gold medals with percussion ensembles in the junior division of the Fischoff National Chamber Music Competition in both 2004 and 2005, Molly Yeh went on to earn a Bachelor of Music degree in percussion from the prestigious Juilliard School in 2011. While pursuing her studies at Juilliard, she also honed her writing skills as an editorial assistant and writer for ‘The Juilliard Journal.’ Following her distinguished musical education, Yeh transitioned her creative focus to the culinary world, launching her acclaimed food blog in 2013. Her blog quickly garnered widespread recognition for its artistic food photography and compelling personal narratives detailing farm life, culminating in her being named ‘Food Blogger of the Year’ by Saveur magazine in 2015. This significant achievement led to the publication of her critically acclaimed debut book, Molly on the Range: Recipes and Stories from An Unlikely Life on a Farm, in October 2016, which subsequently received the prestigious Judges’ Choice IACP Cookbook Award in 2017.
Bernie’s offers a distinctive menu of Midwestern dishes with Scandinavian and Jewish influences, further solidifying her impact as both a chef and restaurateur. Looking ahead, Yeh is set to publish Sweet Farm!, a dessert-focused cookbook, in 2025, continuing her prolific output in the culinary world.
