Monique Parent

Monique Parent was born on November 4, 1965, in San Luis Obispo, California. She moved to Los Angeles in 1990 to pursue an acting career and spent a year studying at the Beverly Hills Playhouse. Her professional acting career started in 1991 with her first movie, “Secret Games,” which was quickly followed by “Buford’s Beach Bunnies” and other direct-to-video productions. A notable early film was “Playtime.” Throughout her career, Parent has appeared in over 100 films, working in genres such as sci-fi (e.g., “Jurassic City”), horror (e.g., “Blood Scarab,” “That’s a Wrap,” “Creeping Death”), indie drama (e.g., “The Pornographer,” “Los Jornaleros”), and comedy (e.g., “Magic Funhouse,” “Normal British Series”). She was married to Harry Johansing in 1995, divorcing amicably in 2005. In 2017, she met Howard Miller, a retired Los Angeles attorney, and they married in September 2024.

Beyond acting, Monique Parent has expanded her career into digital content creation and advocacy. In 2015, at the age of 50, she decided to stop coloring her hair, embracing her natural silver-gray. This decision led to the creation of a successful YouTube channel where she provides makeup and hair tips for women over 40, along with insights into her life as an actress.
