Muslim Salikhov

Muslim Salikhov is an accomplished mixed martial artist and a multiple-time Wushu Sanda world champion, known for his striking prowess and strategic approach in the welterweight division. After securing his first Wushu Sanda World Championship title in 2005, Muslim Salikhov went on to establish himself as a dominant force in combat sports, successfully defending his world title in 2007, 2009, 2011, and 2015. A pivotal moment in his Wushu Sanda career came in February 2006 when he won the inaugural international ‘King of Sanda’ tournament in Chongqing, becoming the first non-Chinese athlete to achieve this prestigious honor. Further solidifying his elite standing, Salikhov earned a gold medal at the 2008 Beijing Wushu Tournament.

Demonstrating his signature flair, Salikhov delivered a spectacular spinning wheel kick knockout against Song Kenan in November 2024, once again earning a ‘Performance of the Night’ accolade. Most recently, in July 2025, Salikhov further cemented his reputation as the ‘King of Kung Fu’ in the welterweight division by defeating Carlos Leal Miranda via knockout in the first round, adding another ‘Performance of the Night’ award to his distinguished collection.
