Mustafa Suleyman

Mustafa Suleyman is a leading AI entrepreneur, co-founder of DeepMind and Inflection AI, and currently CEO of Microsoft AI, actively shaping the future of conversational AI and its ethical development. After co-founding DeepMind Technologies in 2010, Mustafa Suleyman quickly established a leading position in the artificial intelligence and machine learning sector. DeepMind was acquired by Google in 2014 for an estimated £400 million, one of Google’s largest European acquisitions. Following the acquisition, Suleyman assumed the role of head of applied AI at DeepMind, where he was responsible for integrating its advanced technology into various Google products.

Most recently, in March 2024, Suleyman was appointed Executive Vice President and CEO of Microsoft AI, a new consumer AI unit at Microsoft. In this role, he leads the development of products such as Copilot, Bing, and Edge, focusing on building state-of-the-art AI models and creating an AI companion for everyone. He continues to serve as a Senior Fellow at The Belfer Center for Science and International Affairs at the Harvard Kennedy School and has been named one of Time’s 100 Most Influential People in AI in both 2023 and 2024.
